No news, as per usual, for a long period of time. SI has settled in fairly
well to Las Vegas. I can’t say that I enjoy the heat or the relentless sun
but it could be a far worse city. Now that we have everything set up, our
new studio for the most part finished, and a feel for the venues, we’ve
decided on February 2002 as our official coming out party. It seems like a
long way away but in the interim I’m hoping on releasing several belated
albums.
The first will be the “Iron Woman” e.p. which I’ve been promising for some
time but have had to postpone because of two moves within the last year.
All that is left to be done for that release are the vocals. I’m hesitant
to announce a date since I’ve been unable to live up to it in the past so
let it suffice to say it will be coming SOON.
The other two are recently hatched theme albums/releases. Number one is
Naughty Ukiyoe, borne out of a love of nineteenth century Japanese
erotica. The release is digi-gaijin but I want to accompany the cd with
a movie. Anyone interested in participating, drop me a line so that
maybe I can get it all together. Number two is a tribute to my favorite
singer, Edith Piaf. It is my personal take on her accordian classics that
I can be caught singing along to in the shower on odd Wednesday mornings.
The tentative title is “P-off” (note the witty pun, as if I had to point
it out). I’m hoping to have all three (four?) works completed before I
start playing out again so that I’ll actually have something in my merch
booth.
